(click here for full review of Sam Won Gahk.)
chilling out in front waiting for *ahem* someone to finally arrive.
alas food was soooo good, it was not possible to take pics of anyone not stuffing food in their face….
some enjoyed beverages. some enjoyed stuffing their face.
Jelly fish….yum nom nom nom nom….some ate fast. some chew like pregnant yak.
food was goooooood.
some ate too fast… some sucked.
all in all food was delicious.
all mouths were happy, as were bellies.time for some activities!

someone was hungry after pool.Hint: that person was not male.
(Click here for full review of Noodle Town.)

this place is like a little newborn bird/chicky…. cheap cheap cheap. har har har laugh or i will sit on you.

Fat Nation @ Kyo Chon:
for some quick chicken before Olympic marathon.
We decided to hit up some quick good ole korean fried chicken, before starting our HD Olympic Marathon.Attendees:
YueJau and Rhymes CrazyAzn and Azriha And so the food begins!!!!
Beverages. Really good french fries, daikon, and some slaw.
Decided to order their crispy chicken salad, which is really good…love how the chicken stays crispy on top of it…and i think it’s ranch and honey mustard dressing that they put on top.we got 20 wings, and four drums (original)….we was shtarving!
Man that totally hit the spot. we even got some froyo from this joint. I love it when a plan comes together.
if you want more info on this place, here’s my review:

SHOPPING SPREE with CokeAddict. A FatNation Member decides to visit us all the way from Toronto!!! An Avid reader of my eatsite, she wanted to try all the TASTIEST restaurants! So we immediately hit up Satay.
I love it when a plan comes together.
Rhymes, CokeAddict, Azriha, and YueJau.
We were starving and ready to house food. Ordered Roti, Malaysian Cheung Fun (yup it’s actually called that on the menu), STINGRAY!, some kind of seafood udon, and of course the girl’s favorite; sizzling tofu.
yup, totally starving, totally dogged…but one of us wasn’t satisified, so we went for dessert….There’s a second ‘s’ in dessert cause you want seconds. Sweet and Tart.
decor is still nice and clean as usual.
i have such great photog skillz yo.
totally did not know that Sweet and Tart made alcoholic desserts….very interesting…Lychee, vanilla ice cream, mint leaf, drowned in soju?
and some chinese dessert i have no name of which i’m sure someone will correct me on.
Then off to burn off some of those calories!!! PING PONG!!!!! at Cue Bar.
the girls seem to have a good back and forth.
Ping….pong…..ping………pong……..i played too….but spent most of my time doing this…..
picking up the ball….which got tiresome…
of course sometimes it was worth it…getting to HULK SMASH the ball.
then everyone went home cause we’re all so old….then rise and shine for GUESS WHAT?!?!?!
if you guessed siu loung bao you get a gold star in your FatNation membership.
mmmmm nooodle house….*droooooolz…..
CokeAddict Azriha and YueJau we was shtarving for some breakfast, we ordered everything we liked….
and more…..uhg, siu loung bao…so goooooooooooooooooooood. *tearThen off to pick up some people and off to Tanger Outlet out in Riverhead for a day of shopping and discounts!!!
The Crazy Azn and i decided to scout ahead to find a place that we could take the girls to fly a kite…
Never listen to people when they tell you to drive on the sand…though i know better, and probably could do a better job next time since i’m more ‘knowledgeable” now…i think i’ll pass untill i get an SUV or OFFROAD vehicle. (and yes it does have All-Time AWD which is the same as 4WD, all four tires were spinning into the sand ms. smarty pants.)but let’s forget about that horrid incident…and drown our sorrows in food….
alas, Buoy 1, the best lobster i’ve ever had south of Maine.
cute insides….
Glo and CokeAddict CokeAddict and Crazy Azn YueJau and Azriha I was fearful the food wasn’t gonna be that good since they were about to close early….
my fears were semi realized when my shrimp cocktail was luke warm…and luke warm shrimp is…bleah….
everyone else’s food was pretty disco though….cept for maybe the shrimp that came with the buoy 1 clambake….
but all together i think it was a successful meal….
ok these pics are making me want shrimp cocktail again…
it was pouring while we were eating.
you’ll have to ask Glo and YueJau what these dishes were….they have really good fish there….
and alas the Buoy 1 clambake….it’s like 12 steamers, 12 mussels, 12 shrimp, a lobster, veggies and a potatoe…all for around 25$ niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.
After that, had to pull pebbles out of my rotar/dust guard that were making a tumultuous screeching noise….hope i didn’t ruin the nite.It was great meeting yaz CokeAddict, we’ll definitely be seeing you again, whether in our country or yours.
WOOOOT!!!

7 days of Joon (Ibizajb)
A Fat Nation member from California decides to visit NYC…
(wireless users might have difficulty viewing this entry, u might have to hit reload a couple of times.)
Fat Nation shows him some hospitality.
DAY 1 (Tuesday, July 1st, 2008)
The First Meal @ Satay
Decided to take Joon to SATAY for his first Fat Nation Meal/Gathering
we ordered and boy were we starving…we didn’t have to wait long before we were chowing down.the food was a great way to haze our fat nation brother from the westcoast.
Someone couldn’t get enough sauce….CAUGHT IN THE ACT!!!!!
totally dogged the food…
Joon fit in just fine. lol.we were fiending for some dessert….
i figured Joon was tired from the flight, so we kept the night light…with some singstar (Playstation Karoke game)
played king of the hill. winner gets challenged by a song, loser gives up the mic.
DAY 2 (Wednesday, July 2, 2008)
the second meal….don’t worry, we lose count later….shabu shabu time. (hot pot time)
the lovely ladies that joined us.
We were shtarving…
Sauce and our starter plates.
another meal dogged…
then of course…dessert at Sunway….
We all got drinks/smoothies.
GROUP PICTURE!!! someone looks like they don’t belong….
Then decided to head into Manhat, and do all the cool late night things that you can’t really do during the day…atleast not easily….eat your heart out handjob! er i mean hancock…wait…i mean i am legend…

Fat Nation @ Annual NJ Seafood Festival in Belmar
Driving
into Belmar (it’s a nice college town that’s on the
beach….)
finding parking was a bitch…but after we
did…commence…oh festival….
nice
little pond, nice little gazebo…
HUGE
SELECTION OF FOOD!!!
This
place caught our eyes pretty quick with promise of lobster!!!!
someone
wanted to eat all the food….
the
lobster was ok and the king crab legs were ok.
“what
are you looking at?”
then
after round 1 of food….we decided to walk around and check out the rest of the
tents.
mmmm
it was sweltering that day, so we drank alot of lemonade, water, and
smoothies…pina cooooolada the bomb!
Interesting….frozen
custard….was gonna try, but then saw this huge line for….
CRAB
CAKE SANDWICHES!!!!!smelt good, looked good…
this dude was grilling them in a huge
Barbie.and just doling them out like no
tomorrow..
had
to try one of these bad boys….
put
some tartar sauce on mine…twas pretty good…not amazing…and i couldn’t
really find the promised “lump” crab meat, but it was pretty
good.
man
i look short….
oh
wait i am short….har har har.
then
we went and walked on the boardwalk to check the beach out…it’s 7 bucks to get
onto the beach…which to me is a tad expensive…but then i realized…the
beach is really clean…and very well monitored….
alas,
i had to settle for a nice romantic walk with Alphatrion…and yes i’m
scratching my ass….
the
boardwalk is an awesome walk, the crashing waves…there’s no ‘ocean’ salt
smell, so it was really nice…
then
for ROUND 2!!!!
Lobsters,
Shrimps, Clams, Snow Crab Legs OH MY!…not.
Alpha couldn’t figure out which to put in his mouth
first…YueJau couldn’t wait for
deshelling….
I
on the other hand enjoyed my Pina Coooolada smoothie more than my
food…..
see?
clams underneath….
All
in all i had a great time…the food was…ok. but it may be cause i’m spoiled
by Maine…that this shtuff just doesn’t ‘wow’ me…I think next year we will
only come here if we get more people to go…as it was kind of last
minute….though the day was sweltering…we did have a great time. and that’s
all that really matters.
