Fat Nation met up at Mitsuwa in Edgewater for some breakfast.

After our brief ‘stopover’ it was time to hit the road to the shooting range.

Started off with a glock 9mm since we had some first timers with us.

After 5 hours of shooting, we was hungry….and what better place to go with an appetite than….

Cracker Barrel, got to love them corn muffins and biscuits…mm mmmmmmmmmmm

So it’s been like two years since last i’ve gone to Sammy’s, but this time they’ll be a little twist. You might remember some of these pics of the decor from my previous sammy post. As lighting was a total bitch, most of these pics didn’t come out so great, so please bear with me.

the supplied bread and cheese and butter and olives	we all got a salad, probably the only healthy part of our meal. lol.
for some reason i’ve been fiending shrimp cocktail of late…	twas pretty good.

first up, broiled scallops. these were ok, i think i’m having a fried food overload of late though…

they were actually really good with lemon and the tater sauce…

then the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the crab feast.

oh man was this dish beautiful..

here’s a pic with flash from an old post…sorry, the lightning was killer on this one.

Garrick also ordered some snow crab legs steamed…

which i felt was way better than the broiled one…these were really freaking good…

great company and great meal, though we all agree that this will probably be the last time we will order the crab feast, as we know what we like now and more likely will want it steamed rather than broiled. but in the end it was a great night.

Fat nation has two members with the same exact name of Ailin Chang. lol.

  

decided to head to Famous Dave’s BBQ. been here a couple times and the peeps wanted to try it outz…so we opted for the location out on the island… the eaters…Tamadapeas, YueJau, Azriha, Alphatrion and Dee. Served on a garbage can lid… man i liked this, roasted chicken, corn on the cob, corn bread, potatoe wedges, coleslaw, bbq beans, smoked brisket and ribs… all in all it was pretty good and filling…not the best i’ve had…but it hit the spot for our bbq craving… next up…Smokin Al’s! WOOT WOOT!!

THE KIDDIES. lol

hmmm fearful we might not have enough food, i always get too much food…of course more was added later by Monica. lol.   mmmm some seaweed salad and pickled turnip…. mmmm seaweed salad… a precursor…to a future battle….*evil grin so like is it gimbap or kimbap? whatever it’s called it was freaking good…woot! thanks to HMART. and ya gots to have veggies yo! watercrest, straw mushrooms, and spinach. woot! and of course, you make your own sauces that you dip your freshly cooked meats/dumplings/etc in. i like to use chopped garlic, satay sauce, sweet oyster sauce, and sweet chili garlic sauce. of course some people like to put a whole raw egg into their sauce. i’ll just stick to my concoction. wooooooot! $20 bucks each, pork slices and beef…man the pork was soooooo gooooood. some people were eating so fast that the camera couldn’t keep up… =P   Alpha brought some amazing don tots (egg custard tarts) these were so good…. crust so flakey….*tear… ann brought some cakes…that we forgot to eat…  some mahjong…. some singstar/karoke to build back up an appetite… Round 2 of eating (no pics, too busy eating.) then back to MJ. Evil grin…. great food, great friends, good times….thanks everyone for coming and bringing shtuff…and best of all, to all those that help clean up!!! woot!

It’s always nice when reliable friends can cheer you up.

Decided to hit up Smith and Wollensky for some steak!

also got one of their specialty fried rices….which had raisins in it…but you couldn’t taste them…this was quite good…

till we all had ice cream craving attack…


Alpha was dead last in the beginning, but he totally ran away with it in the end with four consecutive wins…..bastard…
